Evolve Prep & David Crino
Evolve Exam Prep and Tutoring was started by David Crino, a local High School science teacher who was tired of hearing his students complain about local review classes that had too many students, had College kids or lazy instructors – who may have been smart and done well on standardized test – but were not very good at teaching those skills and material to others. David already had 20 years of experience with teaching and tutoring the Regents exams and working with local students. He knew that he could put together a superior program with teachers who were hand-picked due to their reputations, teaching, tutoring experience and content knowledge.
Why Prep With Evolve?
Evolve Exam Prep and Tutoring has been created to solve a widespread problem we see in classrooms and prep classes all around New York. With decades of experience teaching – our group of teachers heard students complain that they never got the attention they needed to go over topics that they were struggling with. At school they were given basic reviews and a speedy explanation of complicated topics due to the time restrictions that teachers have to cover all materials during the school year. At more popular prep courses, students are thrown into big classes of 25-40 students that are all scrambling to understand these topics without having any individual attention because there’s simply too many people – which also results in extra stimulants within the classroom as students lose focus and “get bored.”
At Evolve Exam Prep and Tutoring, we’ve heard you. We’re here to solve these issues and give you the individual attention to understand all topics that are covered in important exams that make an impact on your futures. We started with our goal to create a great teaching environment where no questions are ignored. Then we interviewed and gathered some of the best local minds; all of our instructors and tutors are currently – or have taught – at local High Schools and Colleges. Then we filled in the all the gaps other prep courses never covered: We took steps to make classes smaller and incorporate our fine-tuned teaching method to will help students gain better understanding of each topic and feel confident to take their exams.
